software company wanted to do a hotel room gift for their sales force at the company’s annual sales meeting. Their reps travel quite a bit, meeting with clients and helping with software installations. They spend a good amount of time on the road and in hotels and management knew it was sometimes tough to stay fit and healthy. They decided to give each rep an exercise kit to encourage them to exercise when on the road. The exercise kit came with a jump rope, pedometer and a hand grip and was placed in each rep’s room at the meeting and imprinted with the company logo and a card saying, “Thanks for keeping our profits healthy, we want you stay healthy too!” This program was well received and many reps acknowledged they didn’t always work out while traveling and this was a great reminder that health and fitness do not take a break when you travel.
